Healthy Gourmet Kitchen was started when Mary couldn't find pantry staples without added sugars, preservatives, salt or other unnecessary ingredients. Mary set out to create healthy soup starters & seasoning mixes for people who are too busy to cook or maybe not yet confident in the kitchen. She drew on her memories of great meals with the guiding principle of healthy can be delicious.
5 Bean Chili - Our 5 Bean Chili is mild with plenty of flavors! Made with heirloom beans, premium spices with no added sugars and very low sodium. Brown one onion in olive oil, add 1 lb meat of choice, 28 oz can of chopped tomatoes, 1 can beer or 1 1/2 cups red wine, and contents of spice packet. Rinse beans and remove any shriveled beans or debris and add beans to the pot. Full recipe on the label for both stovetop and slow cooker.
Garden Veggie Soup - Packed with vegetables this soup tastes as good as homemade without all the cleaning and chopping. Just add broth and in less than 30 minutes you can have a delicious healthy dinner on the table. Packaged in crystal clear packaging it's as beautiful as it is delicious. Makes 8 cups of soup. No added salt, sugar, MSG or preservatives.
Country Chicken Noodle Soup - Thick chunky soup loaded with carrots and delicious hand made egg noodles. Your family will love this soup and marvel at your cooking skills - to make it truly delicious chop one onion, add 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter and use chicken broth (8 cups) and 1 - 2 cups of water. Great way to use up leftover rotisserie chicken & nice to keep on hand when you're too busy to cook. Makes 9 - 10 cups of soup. It contains gluten (wheat) and egg.
Coconut Curry Chicken Stew - One of our top selling soups. Very mild curry it's thick, hearty, delicious and nutritious. 100% plant-based. This soup takes a little over two hours of cooking time, however, prep is very simple. It can be made on the stovetop, in a slow cooker or in an instant pot.
Cuban Black Bean Soup - This black bean soup has a depth of flavor that rivals homemade only easier. Add a ham hock to make it even more rich and flavorful or enjoy it as a hearty and delicious vegan soup. Makes 10 cups of mild soup. The pepper on the top is a Nora chili mildest of all the peppers and is often used to make smoked sweet paprika. Vegan and made with gluten-free ingredients. Moroccan Red Lentil Soup - Moroccan Red lentil soup mix makes ten hearty servings in about thirty five minutes. Simply chop one onion, brown in a little butter or olive oil, add chopped garlic, lentils (good idea to rinse first) and water or broth. Bring to boil then simmer for 30 minutes. Pasta Fagioli - Pasta e Fagioli means "pasta and beans", and is a classic Italian soup. Borlotti beans, organic ditalini, carrots, celery, onion, and spices cook up 8 delicious cups of soup. The pasta is cooked in the same water the beans cooked in so the starch will thicken the broth. Our Pasta e Fagioli is vegan as is so you can use a meat substitute to keep it vegan or vegetarian.
